WELDERS MEETING / MARCH 15th 2009 / NOTES BY JACKI COOK

1. We have been ask by the eldership to plan the church calendar
2. Asked to pray for the elders and the eldership
3. Stated by pastor Monte that the elders work as a board and no one elder is higher than another
4. Asked that if you have a concern as an elder’s wife to please go to pastor Monte with it
5. We are going to need to learn how we will work together and work out our own rhythm or routine
6. We need to choose and advocate among us who will keep pastor Monte up to date
7. If we want to do something new do this...
8. Go to pastor Monte. He will g to the elder board and then and elder will come to us and make it happen.
9. It was asked that an elder be present at all welder meetings. This was agreed to
10. It was also asked that at each meeting there be time set aside to pray together for the elders. This was also agreed to.
11. It was decided that there will be no mother’s day tea this year
12. Josh M will send Jaclyn a calendar with already scheduled events
13. Upcoming then will be a book study for the welders with pastor Monte. Date still to be determined
14. Next meeting set for Sunday march 22, 2009 directly following church service
15. Should there be a working retreat for the elders and their wives
16. No decisions are to be made without all welders present or informed
17. Secretary is need among us to keep notes of the meetings
18. Notes are to be recapped after every meeting to ensure accuracy
